At age eleven, Jane began massaging her family's pain away. Then in 1987, she became involved with massage therapy as a profession. Building successful practices in Boca Raton, Florida, northern Indiana and Austin, Texas, Jane has worked with top spas, resorts and hotels throughout the United States. She also works with top ranked professional and elite athletes, high-profile public figures, as well as weekend warriors and a few little ol' Grandma's.
Service providers in the hospitality industry continually say Jane's unique teaching style and humor bring it all together in a total package.
Honor and privilege: In 1996, Jane was accepted as a member of the Atlanta Olympic Medical Services team. At the request of Chinese medical doctors, Jane accepted a position to work privately with the Chinese Women’s Olympic Soccer Team.
In 2008, Jane accepted a position with the largest massage therapy school in Texas, the National Institute for Health Sciences-Austin School of Massage. ASM was bought by the Institute of Beauty and Massage in 2009. As the Director of Education for the Massage Therapy programs, with campuses in over ten cities throughout the state, Jane was responsible for creating and implimenting the new programs and directing 45+ teaching professionals and 200+ students. The school unfortunately closed in August 2009 due to the economic situation of the time.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Jane spent many years in business. Her field of expertise in the manufacturing industry include production, purchasing, shipping/receiving/inventory and sales-retail/wholesale. Jane is a state of Texas licensed Massage Therapist (MT42295), Massage Therapy Instructor (MI1579) and Continuing Education Provider (CE1026) and a state of Indiana certified Massage Therapist (MT20902921) in private practice. Jane travels teaching service providers in several states. She continues extensive study and promotion of Travell and Simons' Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction - The Trigger Point Manual, as well as Shiatsu, Tui Na, Reflexology and Acupressure, myofascial release and other forms of deep tissue therapy. Jane is also involved in research studies with hope that one day other medically valuable modalities will be accepted as scientifically proven methods of healing in the world of the American Medical Association.
